Flash movies?

I have been wanting to make flash movies for some time now, however, I went to the site and I didn't know what kind to get. I am a student <9th grade> so I want to know which I could get to make just cartoon animations and post it online, etc. Any pointers or suggestions? Thanks <3

1. Get Macromedia Flash Studio 8. Hint: Rapidfox.com ;-) Works great for me, runs smoothly, no bugs, and I can do just about anything. Action Script, Flash animations, GIF animations, etc etc. Great piece of software! Good luck!
